Saint Augustine’s University captured seven awards for posting the nation’s fastest relay times in 2013 at the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Convention held in Orlando, Fla.

St. Aug ran the top Division II times in seven of 16 men’s and women’s relays combined including five men’s relays – the 4×100, 4×200, 4×400, 4×800 and sprint medley relay. The Lady Falcons topped the women’s relay list in the 4×200 and 4×400. St. Aug had the most relay honors among Division II teams.

The men’s 4×100 relay team broke the Division II record twice at the 2013 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships in May. Its time of 38.91 is the first under 39 seconds for a Division II relay team.

Each relay team and its coach were recognized by Accusplit, the leader in the professional stopwatch and timing industry since 1972.
