On March 31 and April 1, Saint Augustine’s University hosted a women in business summit for Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and the surrounding area’s entrepreneurs, executives, community leaders and professional women. The event took place on the campus of Saint Augustine's University and brought to the city a professional networking opportunity for women in all facets of the business, including accounting, advertising, technology, entrepreneurship, project management, marketing and public relations.

The Women in Business Summit was a professional event and guests had the opportunity to enjoy an opening reception, vendors and networking. The opening reception included light appetizers, giveaways and a keynote by Kiesha Cousar, CEO of EmpowerHER. The conference took place on Friday, April 1st at the Saint Augustine’s University’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Conference Center. The conference included a keynote speech featuring Mrs. Terry Spicer and panel discussion sessions from guest panelists Vinessia Hankins, Faith Bynum, Zakiya Leggett, Cherelle James, and Moni Singh.
