Students had more than good conversation to fill their lunch hour on Feb. 2 – the first edition of The Falcon Forum student newspaper.

Before a packed noonday crowd at the cafeteria, Interim President Everett B. Ward held up a copy of the full-color newspaper, congratulating the student editors and reporters who helped achieve this milestone.

The monthly newspaper features campus news, sports, opinion, cultural coverage and more. Though it is produced by the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, all interested students may contribute to it.

“The Falcon Forum will provide many benefits to Saint Augustine’s University,” said J. Peder Zane, chairman of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication. “While providing students with an opportunity to apply their skills outside the classroom and develop a portfolio of work to show prospective employers it will also help enhance the strong sense of community we have on campus.”
