Moses T. Alexander Greene, an assistant professor in the Department of Media & Communications, has organized a California Pizza Kitchen FUNdraiser to raise funds to cover airfare for scholars to study abroad in Paris, France. The all-day fundraiser is scheduled for Wednesday, April 6 and Friday, April 15. California Pizza is located at Triangle Town Center, 5959 Triangle Town Road in Raleigh and at the Streets of Southpoint located at 6910 Fayetteville Road in Durham.

“My scholars will have the opportunity to take part in an eight-day experience in Paris from April 28 through May 6 sponsored by the University’s Office of International Programs,” Greene said. “For many African American college students, despite the best efforts of mothers, fathers, grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings and other caregivers, finances often prevent them from experiencing more than that which is offered in their programs of study and through student activities at their institutions. It is my hope for my scholars to defy these odds.”

Individuals that cannot make it to California Pizza, can make this once in a lifetime adventure for these Falcons by making a donation online by clicking HERE. For more information, contact Professor Greene at 919.516.4447.
