First-Year Chinese Student receives Honorable Mention in Writing Contest

Nenfort Golit, a junior computer science major in the School of Business, Management and Technology, received Honorable Mention in the Beginner Level Chinese Writing Contest at the Confucius Institute Chinese Competition on Saturday, April 9.  Mr. Golit is currently in his second semester of elementary Chinese.  Saint Augustine’s University Chinese Instructor Ms. Jingjing Zhang stated that approximately 500 competitors from all over the state attended this competition, and this is the first year a student from Saint Augustine’s University competed in this State Level Chinese Contest. 

“I am very pleased with Nenfort Golit wining this reward with just one semester of learning Chinese!,” Zhang said.
