Members of the Saint Augustine’s University Pre-Alumni Council attended the UNCF 69th National Alumni Leadership Conference held in Charlotte, NC on February 19-21.

Some of the various workshops that the scholars attended included: Philanthropy: The Giving Game, Finding Your Voice: Pathway to Greatness, How to Leverage Contacts and Career Readiness. Scholars also had the opportunity to attend a workshop which provided an overview of the history and mission of UNCF, its importance in American society and its relevancy today. Scholars gained a better understanding on the importance of supporting not only the UNCF schools but all historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).

Throughout the conference, the scholars had the opportunity to network with others from the 37 UNCF schools and brainstorm on ideas on how to increase school spirit among the schools as well as how to assist with new student recruitment for all HBCUs.
