Coach George Williams Among New Inductees to Raleigh Hall of Fame

Saint Augustine's University's legendary track coach George Williams will take his place in Raleigh history as one of the newest members of the Raleigh Hall of Fame.

Representatives of the Raleigh Hall of Fame presented its list of 2013 inductees to Raleigh City Council at Council’s regular meeting on Tuesday.

Lacy Reaves, Raleigh Hall of Fame chairman of the board, Meredith McLaurin, vice–chair, and Genevieve Farmer, chair of the selection committee, announced that eight individuals and two organizations will be inducted for their contributions towards making Raleigh an outstanding place to live, work and play.
